Chicago Midway (MDW) International Airport Parking Guide

The Chicago Midway Airport primarily services Southwest Airlines in the Chicago, Illinois region. It is located on the southwest side of the city, eight miles from the Chicago Loop and is the smaller of the two Chicago Airports (O’Hare being the largest).

Drivers can choose from four on-airport parking options, and a few off-site lots and garages near the airport.

Midway Airport Parking Rates & Options

Parking at the Midway airport costs from $2  for hourly parking to $60 per day in the Main Parking Garage. See below for a full set of short and long-term parking prices and options at Chicago Midway Airport.

  • Short-Term MDW Parking

    The Midway Airport provides both Hourly and Daily Parking areas near the terminals. The Main Parking Garage is adjacent to the terminal entrance. The Daily Lot is north of the terminal and offers a free shuttle.

    If you are simply picking someone up or dropping them off here, the Hourly Parking is the perfect option, however if you need overnight parking, you should opt for either the Daily Parking or Economy Parking areas. See below for short-term parking rates.

  • Long-Term MDW Parking

    There’s one option for long-term parking at Midway Airport: the Economy Parking Lot and Garage. The Economy Parking Lot is situated west of the Daily Parking Lot. The Economy Parking Garage is located northwest of the terminal, just west of the Economy Parking Lot.

    Both lot and garage offer free shuttle service that comes every 10-15 minutes. Make sure you note the shuttle bus stop number when you are picked up from the lot or garage so you know where to go upon your return.

Midway Parking Tips

  • Cars parked more than 30 days will be towed. If you’re planning to park longer than 30-days consider booking monthly parking at an off-airport Midway location.
  • For dead batteries, flat tires, booted cars, or other needs call the Midway parking office:  (773) 838-0756
  • Midway does not allow vehicles that take up more than one parking space, like mobile homes or box trucks, and are at risk of being towed.
  • EV charging stations can be found in the Main Parking Garage
  • Midway now offers Reserved Parking located on the 6th floor of the main parking garage. It’s $10 per day, not including the cost for parking.
